Satin finish prints are the perfect solution for someone who wants the image quality of a giclée, without the cost.
Our satin finish prints are produced, one at a time, here in Victoria. We use exactly the same high resolution digital file as we use for the limited edition and giclée prints.
But instead of printing them on canvas or water colour paper, we print them on a satin finish paper. This method produces several desirable results:
- excellent image quality without glare;
- deeply saturated colours; and
- deep, rich, saturated blacks. (Essential for solid shadows and crisp details.)
The result is an archival quality print that can be matted, framed and hung with pride – at about one third the price of a giclée.
Satin finish prints are shipped rolled in a mailing tube. They can be stored safely in the tube indefinitely and taken out to be matted or framed when you are ready.
They do not require any special handling. If you treat them like quality art, they will last. Please keep them out of direct sun. They are guaranteed to last up to five years in direct sunlight but they will last much longer if they are kept out of direct sunlight. If they are to be displayed in a smoky or greasy environment, we recommend that they be hung behind glass, so the glass can be washed.
