Our Goals

Global peace, the end of starvation, clothing for the cold, homes for the homeless, education for all, medicine for need.

Some people think that this is “blue sky” or “too big” or that “we are dreaming”. Respectfully, we disagree.
The world is a big place and there is a lot of good to be done.

But when each of us does just our part, the challenges melt away and the whole job gets done – quickly and easily.

And the truth is, with the progress of technology and the destruction of our environment, if we don’t figure it out soon, it will be too late anyway. So…

Through Barb’s Art, Barb and Leo have chosen some parts to focus on. We wish we could do more and in the fullness of time, we will. In the mean time, here are some of the things we are working on and how we hope to make a difference.

General Programs

We support a wide range of activities:

  • The establishment of Ministries and Departments of Peace all over the globe
  • The goals and activities of Results Canada
  • Education here at home and in the third world
  • Warm, dry clothing for need here in Victoria
  • The creation of a Native Healing Centre
  • Helping organizations that work with people on the street and people nearly on the street
  • Other things that arise in the moment

Specific Programs

So far, we have four programs with paintings attached to them. For each, 40% of the sales revenue will be donated to a specific cause:

In time, each of those programs may receive more images.
More programs with images attached will be developed.

The rest of our programs get supported by all the other images.

Things you can do to help

We invite you to become a part of it.
Here are some things that you can do:

  • Buy some art
  • Sign up for the newsletter
  • Tell your friends, neighbours, acquaintances and even random strangers on the street about the web site.
  • Write about us in your blog or add us to your social bookmarks.
  • License Barb’s images for your products and events Barb’s Art’s Licensing Program
  • Use Barb’s canvases in your raffle, auction or other fundraising events. See our Canvases for Charity Program just below
  • Propose other fundraising ideas that support our goals and send them to us. Your ideas will receive careful consideration.
  • Read our pages about Results , the Global Ministries and Departments of Peace Initiative and TAPS —the Together Against Poverty Society . Consider making a donation or better yet join one of these fine organizations and help to make a difference.

Canvases for Charity Program

We offer free and deeply discounted prices on canvases for charities that want to raise funds that support our goals. If you are a charity, please email us and tell us about your proposed fundraising activities. We will be happy to consider anything which fits our goals.

Barb’s art may be used for raffles, auctions, silent auctions such as the event at Royal Roads University (see Latest News ) and other activities in which the art is treated in a respectful manner and the funds are for a good cause.

Barb’s Art’s licensing program

Barb’s Art will consider licensing, at a reduced or zero fee basis, any of Barb’s images for a use related to a program which is funding or delivering goods or services which directly or indirectly benefit those in need as defined by our goals. We are prepared to be fairly flexible in the definition of a program if the results benefits those in need.

Future Programs

We are working on developing a program where visitors to the site will be able to donate air miles to assist delegates from the third world to get to the next global summit for the creation of departments and ministries of peace. We would like to fund one or more positions as researchers for Results Canada and perhaps Results USA so as to further the great work that Results is doing around the world.

Our ultimate goal is to create a charitable foundation for carrying on our work until hunger and homelessness are gone.
