This painting is extremely subtle and complex. Unfortunately, the web does not do this justice. It is truly a stunning image. This is one of Barb’s earlier works. The way she does her sky foreshadows her successes with other blocks such as the concrete on the breakwater in “Snaggly Clouds” the striking orange background behind the “Doctor Bird” and the grassy knoll in “I am Here From Far Away”.
