When I first started to acquire the stuff of a future home as a teenager, I saw this lamp shade in a store and immediately liked it very much. I still live with it, actually. One day I was looking at it and thinking of how it would be to recreate the designs in it and so I did. It was one of my first paintings on canvas. Somehow, this lamp is like a thread that connects who I have been with who I am now… Looking at the images you will see this painting and the lamp together in my living room.
