Barb painted this as a gift to say thank you. She wrote a dedication on the back. This is what it says . . .

I wrote this in my journal today: “I like the new painting. I am giving it to the lady who has been giving me blood tests for about a decade. (It occurred to me yesterday that we were both 10 years older now.)

She has the amazing way of making it really okay to go there. I have never been afraid.

Anyway, it occurred to me that she might not know how much I have appreciated her for her being her and for her commitment to doing it for such a long period. It helps people like me who are going through chronic disease processes to have people like her
